The original Acros Organics product / item code or SKU reference has not changed as a part of the brand transition to Thermo Scientific Chemicals.
General Description
• Indomethacin is a synthetic NSAID of the indole family that inhibits cyclooxygenase and reduces prostaglandin and pyrogen release
• Indomethacin may suppress the multi-drug resistant transporter and thereby increase the efficacy of antineoplastics
• Indomethacin activates phosphatases that inhibit signaling pathways associated with cancer cell migration and proliferation
Applications
• Indomethacin may be used for the laboratory study of cancer cell proliferation, tumorigenesis and drug interactions
• Indomethacin may be used for laboratory study of the effect of inhibiting the multi-drug resistance transporter, or for downregulation of survival signaling in cells via survivin
